Maybe this post has nothing to do with religion, and then again, if we achieved a 4 hour work week, we would have a lot more time to practice our beliefs.
We all like the idea of living off a large amount of money that we may have inherited, or made in a lucky deal, or won in the lottery, or got from a lawsuit. Well, not all of us have that luxury, so we have to work for hours on end just to make ends meet. There are plenty of bogus get rich quick schemes out there but is there any truth to them?
Well, Tim Ferris has other ideas. He believes that by employing outsourcers, and reducing our time at work, you can survive. His best seller the 4 hour work week is now on audio book.

THE STRENGTH OF GOD, concerning Reverend Curtis Hartman

the strength of godThe distracted man trembled from head to foot, partly from cold, partly from the struggle in which he was engaged. Hours passed and a fever assailed his body. His throat began to hurt and his teeth chattered. His feet on the study floor felt like two cakes of ice. Still he would not give up. “I will see this woman and will think the thoughts I have never dared to think,” he told himself, gripping the edge of the desk and waiting.

“Father McGivney’s vision remains as relevant as ever in the changed
circumstances of today’s church and society”
Pope John Paul II

parish priestFather Michael McGivney was a man to whom “family values” represented more than mere rhetoric, a man who has left: a legacy of hope still celebrated around the world.

In the late 1800s, discrimination against American Catholics was widespread. Called to action in 1882, Father McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, an organization that helped to save countless families. It has since grown to an international membership of 1, 7 million men. At heart, though. Father McGivney was never anything more than an American parish priest, and nothing less than that, either.

In an incredible work of academic research, Douglas Brinkley and Julie M, Fenster re-create the life of Father McGivney, a fiercely dynamic and yet tenderhearted man. Moving and inspirational, the Parish Priest audio books chronicles the process of canonization that may well make Father McGivney the first American-born parish priest to be declared a saint by the Vatican.
